In the early ‘80s when Swapan Basu chanced upon the opportunity to make hand-painted accessories; he was quick to seek help from his best friend and wife, Roma. In 1984, Roma started designing hand-painted bags while developing the process and refining the method of painting over the years. Today it is a closely guarded family secret. Anuschka bags are a feast for the eyes. The colors are a very powerful element in these designs. I love this bag. Plenty of room and hidy places for all my essentials. There is even room for my sunglasses I am a major fan of these painted bags. Sturdy, supple, glorious color, and oh so very practical. Light weight, which my shoulder and back appreciate. I bought this bag for travel but use it every day. I love it's quirkiness. I'm 62 and after decades of practical brown, black, and creme colors bags I'm oh so happy to find Anushka bags. I own several and walk proud with all of them. Carry all your bulky things in a tote and leave it in the car. I only need glasses, cash, and a credit card when shopping or dining out. Thank you Anushka for bringing color into my life.

I really prefer that no one else has this bag. I love it's usefulness and certainly feminine and unique. I will use this for decades.
